About Lindsay: 
      Lindsay is a graduating high school senior from Monmouth County, New Jersey, and has been a proud Type One Diabetic since the age of six. A dedicated thespian, debater, and advocate, Lindsay represented New Jersey as a delegate at the 2023 JDRF's Children's Congress, acting as a correspondent and speaking with senators and state representatives about the Special Diabetes Program and the Insulin Affordability Act. In addition to serving as a Youth Ambassador, Lindsay's walk team, Team WHATEVER: Doing WHATEVER It Takes To Find A Cure, participates in the Avon-by-the-sea walk, where Lindsay has sang The National Anthem at the start of for numerous years, and has raised over $250,000 over the past ten years. This coming summer, you can find Lindsay performing on the Paper Mill Playhouse stage in New Voices 2024: Endless Ovations. 

I’m fundraising for JDRF because I believe in their vision of a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).

With T1D, a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy. The daily life of someone with T1D brings a multitude of challenges, including insulin injections  that need to be carefully balanced with eating and activity, disruptive glucose monitoring, sleepless nights—and   wishing for a tomorrow where this struggle doesn’t exist.

Living with T1D means there are no days off and there is no cure. But there is hope.

Your generosity will help JDRF fund life-changing breakthroughs to remove the incredible daily burden of this disease—until it no longer exists.
