Phyllis J. (Atack) Ferlinz passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 after a 2.5 year battle with cancer. In her final weeks, she reflected on details of her imminent passing and told us it was "too late to find a cure for cancer in her lifetime", but felt she could impact her granddaughter Kristina's life, and the lives of others living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), with more focus, funding and research. 

We chose JDRF as a worthy cause to honor her memory because they envision a world where T1D has been completely eliminated.

Always the selfless Meme until the end, she chose to focus on the future with a desire to keep protecting her babies, even after her death.
