About JDRF One Walk®

Be the walk the walk type

Each year, JDRF One Walk brings together more than 900,000 people across the country to change the future for everyone living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). This fun, family–friendly event gives people with T1D—and their friends, family and co–workers—the opportunity to raise money for life-changing T1D research.

Will you walk with us to make it safer and easier to live with this disease, until we create a world without T1D?

Register for JDRF One Walk today and help turn Type One into Type None.

Be the committed to a cure type

JDRF funds research that transforms the lives of people with T1D. We want a cure, and we won’t stop until we find one—but we need your help. Along the way, we will continue to drive scientific progress that delivers new treatments and therapies to help people with T1D stay healthy and live longer.

Our plan is to create a future where...

Beta Cell Replacement

GLUCOSE CONTROL

RESTORATION

PREVENTION

T1D can be prevented and will never threaten anyone again

Be the get things done type

With close to 200 JDRF One Walks across the country each year, there’s always an opportunity to get involved. Whether you’d like to start or join a team, walk alone—or you prefer to volunteer—you can choose what works best for you.

Be the rally for research type

There are three types of JDRF One Walk teams: family, corporate and schools/youth organizations. Family teams aren't limited to family members—they can include friends, coworkers, classmates and neighbors. Corporate teams are created by companies who want to support T1D research, but just like family teams, anyone can join, even non–employees. You can also encourage your child’s school or youth organization to start a team—it’s a great way to build awareness and get involved at an early age.

No matter what type of team you're on, walking with others is beneficial. Teams generally raise more money, gather more support and awareness for T1D, and create a sense of camaraderie. To start a team, just register as a team captain and invite anyone you like.

Once you register you'll have access to your online Participant Center where you'll find tips, tools, email templates—and everything you need to help you fundraise for life-changing T1D research.
