July 7 - 10, 2016
On July 9, the first JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes of the 2016 season was held In Burlington, Vermont. 202 riders came from all over the country to ride through the most scenic roads in the Champlain Valley and raise money for a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D).
On Ride day, inclement weather, including hail, rain and strong winds did not deter our riders from getting on their bikes and riding, collectively, thousands of miles towards a cure. The JDRF volunteers and crew were incredible, and the enthusiasm of the supporters along the route shouting encouragement to the Riders was inspiring!
And most importantly, the 2016 Burlington Riders will raise more than $850,000 for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.
The JDRF Ride is about camaraderie, commitment and passion and we are extremely grateful to all the JDRF Riders, donors, crew members and volunteers for their efforts in making the 2016 Burlington Ride a huge success.
