Raise money to fund research to cure Diabetes.  As simple, as complicated, as that.

2013 marks my 10th year of participating in JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes event.  The ride, and all it stands for, has become a very important part of our household, as both Christine and I embrace the ride, the cause and the successes with all that it means to JDRF and getting our world closer to a cure for the disease.

The JDRF Ride experience has changed me.  It has been a genuine privilege to associate with people connected--directly or indirectly--to Type One Diabetes, and their passion that is heightened by the sheer number of ride event participants.  To witness firsthand the breadth of the effects of Diabetes, and the kind people that work especially hard to do all they can to give hope, is incredibly emotional and  inspiring.
