Join me in the fight to cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes!
Hello! This year, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes, along with hundreds of other riders across the country to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D). If you ask people with T1D, they will tell you it is difficult and life threatening. And they know it never goes away.
I'm riding the Tour de Tucson this year, a 111 mile loop around Tucson, Arizona in November. It really is a great charity, with a huge proportion of the donation going directly to diabetes research. It's organizations like this that really advance our treatment of the disease and it gives those of us with "a dog in the fight" a way to do something to make a difference. In my own small way this project gives me the chance to fight back against the disease that affects my wife, the son of one of my closest friends, and countless others.
I am asking for your support. I plan on personally paying the fund raising goal but I welcome any additional donation to help fight diabetes and help fund a cure. I love the saying "Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world. Indeed, that is the only way it ever happens!" Perhaps we are that group when it comes to understanding and ending this disease. Please donate to my personal fundraising efforts. By doing so, you can help me make a difference for millions of people living with type 1 diabetes.
Did you know that:
As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat and prevent T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
Thank you for your support!
