Riding for Tommy in 2012

Once again I'll be taking part in JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes, along with hundreds of other riders across the country, to raise desperately-needed funds to help support research in finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.

This is my third year riding (and second ride in Vermont), and thus far you have helped me raise over $30,000!

Tommy continues to be an inspiration as he deals with the challenges of living with this dreadful disease. Those of you who know him know his spirit and humor, two attibutes he calls on daily to help make it through the day.

I've created another brief video to help capture Tommy's story and pictures from the past year.  Please take a moment to watch it and share the link with friends who might be interested in supporting the ride.

JDRF is a leader of the T1D community, unifying global efforts to cure, treat, and prevent T1D.  In this role, JDRF has funded more than $1.6 billion in diabetes research since its founding in 1970, and has meaningfully advanced the T1D scientific frontier and the management of this disease.

Thank you so much for your past support and consideration in donating again this year.  It means the world to me, Joan and Tommy.
