As most of you know, on December 27, 2010, our daughter, Laura Elizabeth, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes - T1D. Since that day, she has endured nearly 4,400 finger pricks and over 3,000 injections.
THIS WILL CONTINUE FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE UNLESS A CURE IS DISCOVERED.
The JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) is the world's leader in diabetes research and is closer to a cure than ever before. 85¢ of every dollar collected is spent searching for a cure.
In support of the JDRF and to encourage and support Laura Elizabeth, I am riding in this years RIDE TO CURE DIABETES in Nashville on September 21st and have committed to raising at least $2,000 for the JDRF and riding 100 miles!
This is probably the biggest challenge of my life but it is NOTHING compared to the challenges Elizabeth faces every day.
We can make a difference and keep our Eyes On The Cure by making a donation to the JDRF either on our Ride page @ www.ride.jdrf.org (Click on "Donate to a Rider" and enter Laura Eye) or by mailing a check, made payable to JDRF, to our home address.
No donation is too large or too small! Together, we can make the cure a reality.
THANK YOU!
