Join me in the fight to cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes!

As you may know, Dan and I have decided to just JDRF this year for the Ride To Cure Diabetes in August in LaCrosse Wisconsin. This is a 100 mile bike ride!!!!! We are terrified for many reason. But the reason why we decided to do this is because of Jack, our 3 year old son.  He was diagnosed on September 27, 2011 just after he turned 2.  It was shocking, devastating, and life changing.  Today, he is on an insulin pump which helps a control this disease a little.  But insulin is NOT a cure, it's simply life support for him.  We need to push forward to find a cure so Jack and millions of others can have a positive, healthy future.  Too many lose their lives each year from this disease.  It must stop. 

I, we, need your help. Please consider donating to my ride.  All money will be donated to JDRF to help find a cure. It's important...it's the future of our children.  It's my son's life that I fight for every day and I will continued to fight with every breath I take!

Did you know that:

• T1D is an autoimmune disease that comes on suddenly and strikes both children and adults at any age?
• T1D has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle?
• Those living with T1D must carefully balance insulin doses with eating and daily activities throughout the day and night?
• Those living with T1D must test their blood sugar by pricking their fingers for blood 6 or more times a day?

As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat and prevent T1D.  JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered.  Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
