I was only going to do it once.

last year I trained all year, fundraised my heart out and did a jig daily as over 600 people donated to my first ride, which I did in honor of my daughter Lauren's 21st birthday and 15 year diaversary. I wasn't going to do it again.

But a funny thing happened on the way to a cure: folks started reaching out and asking me if they could ride with me this year. Now, with 20 new riders by my side, I'll be riding once again, this time at LaCrosse Wisconsin. I'm calling it the "River of Dreams Tour" since we'll ride 100 miles along the Mississippi River.

And I'm hoping you'll want to "ride along." Any donation is most appreciated, and every dollar raised goes to changing the lives of folks like my daughter. JDRF is hard at work on better tools for treatment of diabetes, and of course, a cure. 

Lauren is a junior in college. My dream for her now is seeing her transition on to the workplace without as much of a daily struggle with Type 1 diabetes, and of course, some day having some grandchildren for me to play with. Did you know that even as little as 25 years ago this would be extremely difficult? It's still not easy, but with better tools like continuous glucose monitors and more that JDRF is working on, I should be a grandmother to Lauren's children one day in the future.
