Greetings!
If you've found this page, you likely know me - and may have even met my daughter Norah. She is a light to the world! Despite 10 plus finger pokes, and her constant companion - her insulin pump - always attached to her body, she is a happy 5 year old little girl! My goal is to make her a happy little girl, without Type 1 Diabetes.
Will you join me this year, as I pedal 100 miles and fight to cure diabetes with thousands of others across the United States? I'll be doing the La Crosse, Wisconsin ride.
On October 13th, 2010 our family life turned upside down. Norah had been experiencing serious fatigue, was incredibly thirsty all the time, and although potty trained - had started wetting the bed again. I had that parental instinct telling me that something just wasn't right. Unfortunately, I was horrified to to be right. Norah's blood sugars were 734 that day, and her tiny 2.5 year old, 23 pound body was beginning to fail as she was in we now know as Diabetic KetoAcidosis.
You should know that this fund raising event has a very high efficiency - at 80% or more. That means at least 8/10 dollars donated will make it into research labs around the globe. Additionally, we are drawing closer to finding a cure - truly finding a cure, and better ways for Norah and millions of other T1D's to live.
If you're able to help this year, please know I am so incredibly thankful. Your donation means the world to my family and I - and I truly mean that from the bottom of my heart.

Join me in the fight to cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes!
Hello! This year, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes, along with hundreds of other riders across the country to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D). If you ask people with T1D, they will tell you it is difficult and life threatening. And they know it never goes away.
I am asking for your support. Please donate to my personal fundraising efforts. By doing so, you can help me make a difference for millions of people living with type 1 diabetes.
Did you know that:
As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat and prevent T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
Thank you for your support!
