Dear Family and Friends,
Another year of diabetes for Luke means another ride for me. As I promised him the day he was diagnosed nearly 9 years ago, I will continue to raise money for a cure until I can look at Luke and say "We did it"!
As I have done in each of the past five years, I am participating in the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes in an effort to fund research which will improve Luke's life and the lives of all people suffering from Type One Diabetes. When Luke was diagnosed, Wendy and I made a promise to do more than wait for a cure by committing time, resources and effort into raising money for diabetes research. Thanks to the generous support of donors like you, the projects and partnerships JDRF funds are uncovering the causes of Type One Diabetes, developing novel ways to improve management of the disease, and pursuing new pathways to a cure.
My goal, in addition to completing the 100 mile ride, is to raise $6,000 in donations to JDRF. I would greatly appreciate if you would help us get closer to a cure by making a tax deductible donation in honor of Luke. Your donation will go directly towards the most promising research being conducted on Type One Diabetes.
