Join me in the fight to cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes!
Hello! For my second year in a row, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes, along with hundreds of other riders across the country to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D). If you ask people with T1D, they will tell you it is difficult and life threatening. And they know it never goes away.
Joanie and I have two children with T1D (Evie - 14 and Daniel - 8). Evie was diagnosed when she was 8 and Daniel when he was 4. As a result, we as a family have become very involved with JDRF. In fact, I will complete my second year as President of the Middle Tennessee Chapter next June. Joanie and Evie will join me on the ride. I again plan to complete the Century Ride while the girls plan to do 62 miles. JDRF added a 6th Ride location this year and it happens to be in Nashville. This is a very challenging ride with a total climb of 4,400 feet. All in a days work. Although the training has been going on for months, the ride is 5 days away so I am stealth mode to fundraise. Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
I am asking for your support. Please donate to my personal fundraising efforts. By doing so, you can help us make a difference for millions of people living with type 1 diabetes, including Evie and Daniel.
Did you know that:
As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat and prevent T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
Thank you for your support!
