This year, I'll be taking part in the 2014 JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes in La Crosse, Wisconsin, along with hundreds of other riders across the country, to help improve the lives of all people affected by Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).
The ride is 100 miles in length, covers three states, and will take place on August 16th this year.
Last year's ride was life-changing on so many levels. After years of being off my BMX bike, I picked up road biking, and participated in the La Crosse ride last year. My wife and I made so many new friends, changed our health for the better, and the best part was knowing that we're making a difference. This year, I will be training even harder, and already have hundreds of miles on the trainer to get ready for this year's big ride.
Where I need your help is by warmly asking you to donate to the cause. Any dollar amount is greatly appreciated. By doing so, you can help me make a difference for millions of people living with Type 1 Diabetes.
Some things that you may not know about Type 1 Diabetes:
As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat and prevent T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered, and I believe that with our help, we will succeed.
Thank you for your support, and we will see you on the road!
