Since 2001Mabel Plueddeman has lived with T1D (type 1 diabetes). It's a daily challenge that lasts a lifetime, a lot tougher than a day of riding my bike 105 miles across Death Valley. But that ride is a dramatic way to get your attention, and show my dedication to the work JDRF is doing to fund research that is making life better for millions of people like Mabel, and may one day lead to a cure to this devastating disease.
This will be my eighth consecutive year of participating in the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes. Thanks to the support of family, friends and even some people I don't know, I've always exceeded my fund-raising goal. With your help, I can do it again this year.
You can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
