Join me in the fight to cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes!

Hello! This year, my family is taking part in JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes in Nashville, TN, along with hundreds of other riders across the country to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D).  As many of you know, we lost our Brandon to Type 1 Disabetes on April 7, 2010, which has changed our lives forever!

Many of you have been very gracious supporters over the last 2 years for our dinner and golf outing events.  We have raised over $27,000 for JDRF research over the last 2 years and I thank you for your hearfelt donations/contributions.  This year, we decided to raise money for JDRF by participating in the Nashville Ride to Cure Diabetes in September 2013.  I am asking for your support to donate to my personal/family fundraising efforts again for JDRF.  By doing so, you can help us make a difference for millions of people living with type 1 diabetes.

Did you know that:

• T1D is an autoimmune disease that comes on suddenly and strikes both children and adults at any age?
• T1D has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle?
• Those living with T1D must carefully balance insulin doses with eating and daily activities throughout the day and night?
• Those living with T1D must test their blood sugar by pricking their fingers for blood 6 or more times a day?

My goal by raising money to support JDRF Research is to find a cure for this horrible disease so other families do not have to experience the loss of a child, which we live with everyday.
