Join me in the fight to cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes!

Hello! This year, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes in beautiful Nashville, Tennessee.  Last year I didn't do the JDRF ride due to some health issues, but this year I think I'm ready to get back at it again.  As you may or may not know, my son Adam and I both have type 1 and we're doing OK, however it's a daily grind to stay on top of all the things necessary to manage this disease.  I desperately want to find a cure for this disease mainly to improve Adam's life, but also for all the diabetics in the world.  If you ask people with T1D, they will tell you it is difficult and life threatening.  And they know it never goes away.

Please consider donating to my personal ride account to help me reach the $3,000 goal I've set for myself.  By doing so, you can help me make a difference for millions of people living with type 1 diabetes.

Did you know that:

• T1D is an autoimmune disease that comes on suddenly and strikes both children and adults at any age?
• T1D has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle?
• Those living with T1D must carefully balance insulin doses with eating and daily activities throughout the day and night?
• Those living with T1D must test their blood sugar by pricking their fingers for blood 6 or more times a day?

As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat and prevent T1D.  JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered.  Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
