Hi Everyone!

Yes, I am back again to ride 105 miles in Death Valley yet one more time!

Many of you know that I have been a Type 1 diabetic myself since 1974 and that I am in remarkable health in spite of suffering for over 35 years with this debilitating disease.

What you may not be aware of is the reason that I ride for JDRF.  On the face, it may seem self serving, but as far as a cure for me goes, I really have been dealing with this for so long that it is just a part of everyday life for me.

I am riding to help find a cure for people who have not even been diagnosed yet.  For the 1 in 6 people in the United States who are currently suffering from diabetes of any variety.

For people who have fought and lost like Jesse Alswager who passed away at the age of thirteen, after 10 years of fighting type 1 diabetes. (read more here )

I am riding to find a cure so that the cost of health care can be reduced in this country (Annual cost of diabetes in USA $174 Billion)

Ultimately I am riding for almost 60 million Americans who are currently diagnosed with Diabetes.

Riding is really a small part, the heroes are the people who donate to my efforts in any amount it all ads up.  The average rider for JDRF will raise between $4000 & $5000 ( That is 1.5 million Dollars for the Death Valley Ride alone)

You are the real heros who donate to this effort and any amount that you contribute goes toward raising millions of dollars to put us that much closer to a cure.

Thank you in advance for all of your support!!
