You may be new to JDRF and to type 1 diabetes, but regardless, thank you for supporting research even if your main reason in doing so is for a beautiful new guitar.
Type 1 diabetes is an auto-immune disease where the body stops producing insulin. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabtes when I was 11 years old. For the past several years, I've worn an insulin pump that delivers insulin around the clock. Research has come a long way in the 20+ years I've had diabetes, mostly thanks to research from JDRF. So whatever your reason for supporting the cause, thank you.
Two ways to support me:
I'm raffling a beautiful, brand-new Loar guitar with 100 percent of the raffle entries benefitting JDRF. For a $20 donation, you're entered to win once. For $35, you're entered twice. You can read all the rules at www.victoriacumbow.com as well as view photos of the guitar and its specifications. The raffle closes on Saturday, Nov. 1 at midnight CST. The winner will be announced and notified Sunday morning, Nov. 2 around 8 a.m. CST.
In addition to the guitar, I'm selling my 100 miles for $5 a mile. If I don't ride that mile on Saturday, I'll personally pay you back. You can see what miles are still available at www.victoriacumbow.com.
Thank you for supporting me, and thank you for supporting JDRF and its tireless work to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. The guitar raffle closes at midnight on Nov. 1 CST, but supporting JDRF has no time-limit.
