This will be my second time participating in JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes. My husband Zack was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in 2011. This is why we support JDRF's search for a cure. Last year, we were able to raise $6,000 thanks to the generosity of our family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. This year, we are hoping to raise $8,000!!!

Did you know that:

• T1D is an autoimmune disease that comes on suddenly and strikes both children and adults at any age?
• Diabetes is the 7th leading cause of death in the U.S. The risk of death for people with diabetes is about double that of people of similar age without diabetes.
• Since its founding in 1970, JDRF has funded more than $1.6 billion in T1D research and has dramatically advanced the T1D scientific frontier and the management of this disease. In FY2011 alone, JDRF provided more than $116 million for T1D research.

Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
