I'm going to keep this short, mean, and to the point. It's 2014, and we STILL haven't cured type one diabetes. I want to see T1D hit right where it hurts. I want each of you to dig deep and do what you can to help us fund the research that is busting tail to find a cure. There have been huge strides made in the past year.
What will I do?? I am going to get my fat butt back on the bike. I am going to train like my life depends on it. I am going to rendezvous with a ton of bada** mo-fos in Tucson, AZ this November, and together we are going to ride 107 miles to help put an end to this..
I am riding for my mom, Judi, who I lost 17 years ago. She had T1D since she was nine years old and fought until the very end.. Her 45th birthday..
I am riding for my sister, Valerie, she's one of the most badass people I know. She has fought since SHE was nine years old, and continues to fight today.
I am riding for my dad, Alan, who we lost last year, he brought me back into cycling and lit the fire under me to join the fight against T1D.
Thank you to each and every one of you,
