San Francisco to Lake Tahoe

...a journey on my bike, through the places I love most, in an effort to raise awareness for Type 1 Diabetes...

This year, I'm doing things a little differently. The official JDRF ride around Lake Tahoe on Sunday, September 8th, will be the crowning day of my journey from San Francisco to Lake Tahoe.

Here's my story, by the numbers:

15 years I've been living with Type 1 Diabetes

20,000+ dollars I've raised for juvenile diabetes research since then

219 miles from San Francisco to Tahoe

72 miles I will ride around Lake Tahoe with all the other JDRF riders this year

5 days I expect it will take me to complete the entire journey

6,000 dollars I want to raise this year

1 donation, no matter how big or how small, will make a difference!

This year, and every year, I will be riding in honor of my amazing Aunt Leslie. She has been my inspiration to maintain control and fight for my health for my entire life. She was an incredible role model and I cannot thank her enough for all of her love and encouragement. Leslie, thank you for always inspiring me to take the world by storm. I miss you everyday.
