Welcome to my JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes Page!
I am taking part in my third JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes, and hope to raise $5000 toward researching a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D).
On November 1st, I will be riding 100 miles on the Natchez Trace Parkway near Nashville, Tennessee along with hundreds of riders from around the world, to raise money for JDRF, the leading global organization funding T1D research. Thanks to the generous donations from friends and family the past two years, I have raised over $10000 for JDRF!
As most of you know, my son Ryne and daughter Ashley have been living with Type 1 diabetes (T1D) for several years. As a result, besides closely monitoring their diets, they must test blood sugar levels and take multiple insulin shots every day. Until a cure is discovered, the shots and blood testing will continue for the rest of their lives.
Every dollar I raise will help JDRF funded research continue to bring life-changing therapies from the lab to the community until a cure is found.
This JDRF video really captures the spirit of this Ride to Cure Diabetes event:
Your gift will propel me toward the finish line. Please donate and help JDRF achieve the goal of a world without T1D.
