I need your help.
Hello! This September, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes, along with my dad and hundreds of other riders across the country to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D).
I am asking for your support. Please donate to my personal fundraising efforts. By doing so, you can help make a difference for millions of people living with type 1 diabetes. The JDRF has already made huge strides towards a cure and, with your generosity, we can end this terrible disease.
My dad has been my hero since I was little. Growing up, I thought my dad was superman. But his condition made me realize how fragile life really is. Seeing my dad lose consciousness and get taken away by ambulances was scary. No child should have to grow up worrying about their parents like that. And no parent should have to worry about losing their child from their blood sugar falling too low. I did my first Ride to Cure when I was 13. In my letter, I wrote that there were no trips to the emergency room that year due to low blood sugar. That’s a victory that most people get to take for granted.
Since I was a child, research breakthroughs have provided my dad with better insulin and an external insulin pump. Recently, researchers have developed a continuous glucose monitor and isolated the molecular pathway that is the root cause of type 1 diabetes. Please give to this fight and help change the world for my dad and all of those living with type 1.
Thank you for your support and generosity!
