I am fundraising to support the JDRF in the honor of my good friend’s mother, Karen Ivey Volz. After hearing his story I decided to get involved with this cause. Please visit the site below so you can understand the impacts of Type 1 diabeties.
Many of you may recall last year’s effort involved a sunset cruise of Galveston Bay. Unfortunately, I have given up the boat, temporarily, to make time for my new hobby, chickens. My girls (ages 2 and 3) absolutely adore these fowl creatures so like any new parent I caved. On offer this year is partially free range chicken eggs. Let’s not pretend the cruise and the eggs are equitable, but the underlying cause is still a very worthy one. Now that the chicken coop is complete it’s on to the vegetable garden. The 2014 Summer of Yard will not last forever and I hope to be out on the water soon and in a position offer sunset cruises again.
Please enjoy this short film about our chickens and our children’s love of them.
Blue Eggs $50/egg
