Welcome to my personal fundraising page! I'll be taking part in this year’s Walk to raise funds to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D). If you ask anyone with T1D, they will tell you it is difficult and life threatening, and they know it never goes away.
My nephew Clayton Ross was diagnosed at age 5. He has been living with finger pricking, carb' counting, and insulin injectiing for the past 8 years! After seeing how this disease has impacted Clay & his family, I've gained a new appreciation for my sister-in-law, Bev Witter, who has been living with T1D for over 40 years!! I've never seen Clay nor Bev let the disease stop them from living life to the fullest!
I am asking for your support in our team's fundraising efforts. We are aiming to raise $2000 this year! By contributing, you can help support JDRF's research! To donate on line, click on "View Personal Page" (in blue letters), then click on the "Donate to Marilyn" box. If you would rather donate by check, just make your check payable to JDRF, and put my name in the memo field.
Did you know that:
As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure and better treat T1D. They will not rest until this disease is fully conquered!! Please consider donating to the amazing progress that is being made toward this goal.
Just $5.00 from 10 people would put me close to the top of my goal! Any cash or check donations can be mailed to my home address, and I will include them in my donation envelope to be turned in at the walk site on Nov. 2, 2013. Here's my address: Mrs. Marilyn Balph, 2843 S. Calle Rosa Circle, Mesa, AZ 85202
Thank you for your support!
