This year seems to have flown by!! The cooler weather is finally approaching and we can all begin to get some relief from those scorching summer days! Although I am a huge fan of the summer months, I’m always welcoming to the cooler Phoenix weather.
The cooler weather couldn’t fall at a better time of year as we; Ryan’s Lions prepare for the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes.
As you may already know, my niece Ryan was diagnosed with Type1 when she was 24 months old. Now, pushing the fabulous age of 8, Ryan and her twin sister Casey have grown into these adorable, smart, loving, spunky little ladies that I am so lucky to call my nieces.
Ryan’s Lions’ walk every year in support of Ryan and the thousands of other children who have been diagnosed with Type1 Diabetes. We hope that one day a cure will be found. The advancements in technology alone have made a difference in Ryan’s everyday life.
This year, the walk takes place on November 2nd at Tempe Town Lake . Not busy that day?? Well then…come be a part of something great!! Help us raise awareness and spread our message! All you have to do is visit the link below, you can sign up to join our walk team and create your own fundraising page or you can simply visit the link to donate to our team or an individual walker. Corporate donations equal to or greater than $200 can send me their logo for the back of our team shirts. (Sponsor/logo deadline is 10/20/2013)
Have an awesome day and remember… You can make a difference!!
