Many of you know the story of Danielle's family battle with Type 1 diabetes and that every year we participate in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundations walk for a cure. This year we are getting off to a bit of a late start. Its been a busy year for our family with new babies, new homes, kids starting back at school and just everyday life. With that being said, we are kicking it into high gear and getting the ball rolling and have now started fundraising, getting people registered to walk , donations coming in and spreading the word. The JDRF walk this year is scheduled for Sat, Nov 2nd 2013 at Tempe Town Lake (A little over 2 months away-eek!!) Our team goal this year is to raise $3,000. I have faith that our team will do amazing things this year and not only meet this goal, but surpass this goal! But in order to do this, we need all of your help! Our team page is up and running and is open for team members to get registered and start bringing in donations. Here is the link to our team page: http://www2.jdrf.org/site/TR/Walk-AZ/Chapter-DesertSouthwest4010?team_id=129709&pg=team&fr_id=2410 PLEASE spread the word to any family, friends, co-workers and neighbors! ALSO, we have a fundraiser set-up for Sat, Sept 21st at Swirl It Self Serve Frozen Yogurt. I have attached the flyer with the details for this fundraiser. We are in the process of working on a few other fundraisers and will keep you all posted on those. I want to thank you for all of your continued support in our fight against Juvenile Diabetes and I look forward to seeing all of you on the day of the walk!! Don't forget this could affect my kids and we pray everyday that it does not.
