For the fifth year in a row, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes at 10 am on Sunday, November 3rd at UCI.
This December also marks 5 years that I will have been living with Type 1 Diabetes.
For me, that means 1,825 days of taking insulin in order to live.
That's 2000 shots...including over 500 pump changes.
And almost 15,000 finger pricks. Yikes!
Not what the average kid is going through from the age of 7-12.
I am hoping the next numbers I will be counting will be the years I have been cured!
Please join me in finding that cure. I support the JDRF and this walk because the JDRF funds more Type 1 diabetes research than any other charity worldwide. And it's making progress along many promising paths toward better treatments and a cure.
Thank you for being a part of Caroline's CUREsaders!
Your donation will count towards the team's fundraising total. In addition, please give credit to the person that asked for your support to recognize them for their efforts in creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
