Hi! I'm Nathan and I am seven years old. I'm a second grader at Fairmont Elementary. I love playing handball at recess and math is my favorite subject this year. I love playing soccer, basketball, and baseball and often can be found riding my skateboard with my neighborhood friends after school.
There's one thing different about me and most seven year-olds I know. I am a type 1 diabetic. I was diagnosed almost four years ago. It hasn't always been easy. Somedays I don't like getting shots. And there are many days when I can't eat what I want without getting extra insulin. I know there will be a cure one day.
This year, on November 3rd, my family and I are taking part in the Juvenile Dabetes REsearch Foundation's (JDRF) Walk to cure diabetes at UC Irvine. We, along with other families across the country are trying to raise funds for diabetic research. No amount is too small. Please join us as we find a cure for type 1 diabetes. Thank you and God Bless!
Your donation will count towards the team's fundraising total. In addition, please give credit to the person that asked for your support to recognize them for their efforts in creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
