Ryan started High School last month and is doing well in school. He continues to take good care of himself and stay active. Ryan is still doing Triathlon’s but has found a Love of the ocean. He is Stand Up Paddleboard racing and surfing. This month he will be traveling to Florida to mentor and work at a Stand up Paddle board camp for young kids with Diabetes. He also volunteered at Camp Wana Kura as a teen aide in July. He continues to give back to the Diabetes community. In October he will again speak at the San Diego Convention Center at the annual Diabetes Health Fair.
Diabetes keeps Ryan very busy in many ways, in addition to his busy life he is working full time as his own Pancreas, never taking a break. This can be exhausting at times, especially for a Teenage boy. We look forward to the day when there is a cure and Ryan can live a normal care free life!
We are once again participating in the Walk to Cure Diabetes on November 9th. If you would like to support Ryan and make a tax deductible donation you can mail a check payable to JDRF in the enclosed envelope.
You can follow Ryan throughout the year and see what he is doing at www.ryanmaloneyathlete.com Thank you so much for your support!
