Hi. I'm Jenna Kovsky, Aaron's younger sister. When I was five, my first memory is of staying at a friend's house overnight when Aaron and my parents had to stay at the hospital for a few days. He was 7, and had just been diagnosed with Type I Diabetes (Juvenile Diabetes). It was a devastating blow to the whole family.
Through the years, I've watched Aaron deal with a very difficult lllness. Lots of shots and finger sticks. In fact, on one walk, we were the last family to cross the finish line as Aaron had a low blood sugar and had to sit down, take glucose tablets, and wait at least 20 minutes for his blood sugar to rise enough to continue on the walk. I've watched him overcome many challenges in his life.
This year my brother is off at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, "living the dream" as he puts it, and majoring in Animal Science.
I am rallying everyone I can think of... family, old friends and new ones, groups at school and volleyball... asking you all to PLEASE DONATE to Aaron's A Team and JDRF. No amount is too small to make a difference!
My brother, family and I greatly appreciate all the generosity and support you can find in your heart to send.
And a note from JDRF;
Did you know that:
As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat and prevent T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
Thank you for your support!
