Welcome to my personal JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising page!
I'll be taking part in this year's Walk in honor of my son Calvin who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 9 months of age. The money I raise will help JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) fund critical research to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people's lives until no one has to fear developing the disease.
This is our 10th year participating in the Walk to Cure Diabetes. Calvin is now a 5th grader at Hope Elementary. He is a member of the NCA swim team, plays the piano and cello and is a JDRF Ambassador. His life is complicated with the management of his disease but is strong and always keeps pushing forward. He is our hero.
JDRF is the largest nongovernmental funder of T1D research and the only global organization with a strategic research plan to fight T1D. This science is complex and costly, and we have seen many improvements in Calvin's management thanks to the efforts of JDRF.
Please support Calvin and donate to my Walk fundraising campaign. Your gift will make a difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible today?
Thank you for your support!
