Join me in the fight to create a world without type 1 diabetes!

Welcome to my JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes personal fundraising page!

I'm joining this year's Walk to raise funds to improve the lives of millions of people with type 1 diabetes (T1D). The money I raise will help JDRF advance its strategic research plan to end T1D.

This has affected my family in a grave way. I have lost a 10 year old niece Dianne and also have a another niece Robin, that survived the onset and thrives in her life and profession. Robin fights the good fight every day of her life with this horrible disease.   I want to help the fight to find the cure in Dianne's memory, for Robin's health and for others so that it will make a difference in their lives.

Addionally, my friend Malitha Tardiff has a beautiful daughter Alex that is 12 years old that is a juvenile diabetic. She is so strong and we admire her gusto! She is another reason that we are passionate about this cause.

T1D is a life-threatening autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin, which the body needs to get energy from food. Managing the disease requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on insulin. With T1D there are no days off, and there is no cure.

JDRF is working every day to change that. And, as the largest nongovernmental funder of T1D research, every dollar JDRF directs toward its research plan comes from donors like you.

Please support my commitment and donate to my Walk fundraising efforts today. Your gift will make a difference for millions of people affected by this devastating, life-threatening disease.

Thank you for your support! Please join the McAlister Properties Team to fight Juvenile Diabetes!
