Welcome to our JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes Team Page!  

By now most of you know our story. Josh was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in September of 2009 when he was just two and half years old; still in diapers, still in a crib, still using a pacifier. He was admitted to Wolfson Children's Hospital where he spent nearly a week in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.  We got a crash course in Type 1 Diabetes and began a new kind of life; one that is filled with vials of synthetic insulin, finger pricking lancets, insulin pump tubing, insulin pump cartridges, and test strips galore... oh my! It's definitely a lot to keep up with.

This year was especially difficult because Josh started Kindergarten. It was scary to send him off to school with our fingers crossed, hoping for the best.  But, that's what we did. And, we'll have to do that time and time again in the years to come.  Of course, Josh is loving Kindergarten and the school staff has been amazing - Josh has charmed his way into all of their hearts. 

But, we need a cure! Please, please, please help us find one! No donation is too small. Please help us beat our goal again this year!!!
