Team Ashlyn

Ashlyn Grace was diagnosed on June 10, 2011 at the age of 16 months. We had the most frightening trip to the ER and spent 5 days in the hospital. If we had not taken her that day, we could have lost our precious Ashlyn Grace.  Thankfully we saved her from going into a diabetic coma. Our lives changed in a blink of an eye. Before June 10, we did not know anything about Type One Diabetes. Our sweet, beautiful little girl went from eating whatever, whenever she wanted to us monitoring her daily food, getting her blood checked about 12 times a day, and taking around 4-5 shots daily. Daily routines have changed, but God knew she could handle this.  God gave this to a VERY strong little girl who has done amazing. Life is so precious and we thank God everyday he blessed us with a child who can battle this at such a young age. We never imagined we would be raising money to help find a CURE for our own "little booger". We pray for this because so many children need this CURE!! Ashlyn Grace, we are WALKING for a CURE, we are WALKING for you!
