I am excited that you are interested in joining our team to help achieve JDRF's global mission to cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D). The money our JDRF Walk Team raises will go directly to support this life-changing research. More than 80% of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and research-related education.
The JDRF Walk is a fantastic way to make a difference in the millions of lives of people affected by type 1 diabetes. Please invite your friends and families to join us. This year's walk takes place on April 13, 2013 and this year's theme is "Superheroes on a T1D Mission!". There is something for everyone - food, music and entertainment at the walk. It is a great way to connect with friends, family and co-workers while supporting a worthwhile cause. This is your chance to be a real live Superhero for those who live with diabetes.
Just click on the Join this Team button, make a donation and begin fundraising. It's pretty simple. Don't forget about our Matching Gifts program. Bank of America will match our gifts to JDRF. Please check the Matching Gifts site for details https://www.cybergrants.com/boa/branch.html. You can either mail the resulting form to Pam Williams at PWilliams@jdrf.org or turn it in at the registration tent on the day of the walk.
Bank of America T-shirts will be provided to all walkers who do not already have one. Prizes will be awarded to the team walker who collects the most donations and to the team walker who recruits the most walkers.
