On August 16th, 2008, Trevor Jackson, a senior at Stockbridge High School and Vice President of the Beta Club, was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. Since then, Trevor has injected himself with insulin well over 6,000 times. This year he coordinates the walk along with his fellow Beta Club members; "With all of us Betas, we can easily hit the 1k goal and make this walk the biggest turn out yet!", says Trevor. Although he manages his diabetes very well, we can only imagine what his life is like having to prick his finger before each meal and give himself an injection before eating.
JDRF is an organization that brings hope to kids like Trevor who live with the illness. One day, a cure for diabetes will be a reality. When we give to their research, that day gets closer and closer. Help us in the fight to cure juvenile diabetes.
We thank you in advnace for your support! If you can walk with us this year (October 19th at Centinneal Olympic Park 8:00am) we'd love for you to join us! If not, please give what you can to become one step closer to finding the cure.
