Welcome to my personal JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising page! I'll be taking part in this year?s Walk on October 20, 2012, to raise funds to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D). As you may know, we have a most personal connection with this disease. Our twenty one year old son, Matt, was diagnosed with diabetes when he was twelve years old. As a result, Matt must check his blood sugar levels by pricking his arm six or more times a day. He has an insulin pump which he uses to give himself doses of insulin every time his blood sugar is high and before meals or snacks. And this will continue every day for the rest of his life unless a cure is found. As you can imagine, this has forever changed all of our lives.
I am asking for your support. Please donate to my personal or to our team's, Matt's Mission, fundraising efforts. By doing so, you can help me make a difference for Matt and for millions of other people living with type 1 diabetes.
Did you know that:
As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat and prevent T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible?
Thank you for your support!
