Do you go to bed every night wondering if your child will have a dangerous blood sugar low? Do you make sure your child never leaves the house without a blood meter kit, fast acting carbs and a glucagon syringe? You do if your child, like mine, is one of the millions of children that have Type 1 diabetes.
This year (and every year until there is a cure), I will be taking part in JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes in Atlanta on October 19, 2013. I have pledged to raise $15,000 for this cause this year. Please help me reach my goal.
JDRF is our best hope for finding a cure. It funds more Type 1 diabetes research than any other charity worldwide and JDRF's research partners are making progress along many promising paths toward better treatments and a cure.
Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
