Welcome to my personal JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising page!
I'll be taking part in this year's Walk to raise funds for the millions of people living with and affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D). The money I raise will help JDRF fund critical research to progressively remove the impact of
My grandson, Tyson, was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. This is a life-threatening disease for which there is no cure. Tyson takes a minimum of 4 insulin shots per day and has his finger pricked a minimum of 4 times per day to check his blood sugar. I am walking to help raise money for a cure of this disease.
I just registered for the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes and accepted the challenge to form a team and raise money for JDRF, the largest nongovernmental funder of type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. The Walk raises funds, awareness, and hope for the millions of people living with and affected by T1D, a serious autoimmune disease.
This year's Walk takes place on October 19, 2013, and I'm writing to ask for your support. By raising money for critically needed research, EACH of us can make a real difference in the lives of people with T1D. Please join our team, make a donation and begin fundraising. It's simple, fast and fun!
Visit my team page to register and join my team! Once you register, you?ll find fundraising tips and tools in your Participant Center. Plus, I will be your coach to answer any questions you may have.
If you are unable to join our team, please consider making an online donation. My team fundraising goal is $1,000.00 and with your support, I know we'll exceed this! Donating online is quick, easy and secure! However, if you prefer, you can mail your contribution to the address listed below. Make your gift payable to JDRF, and please put my name in the memo field.
