Myles' Personal Page

Hello my name is Myles Tjaden and I have lived with Type 1 Diabetes since I was 16 months old. Because of organizations like the JDRF, my family and I have the tools that make managing the disease of Diabetes easier than it was even 3 years ago when I was first diagnosed.  I am so grateful for the insulin pump I wear constantly that helps to keep my blood sugar under control without having to take countless shots daily. Although I look forward to the day that I will not have to wear any deivice on my body and can live my life without the constant thought of my blood sugar levels.  

The Eastern Iowa JDRF annually raises more than $1,000,000 each year to directly fund the quest for a cure for this common disease.
