Welcome to my JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes personal fundraising page!

My name is Savannah Susan Koch. I was born on 3/6/2008 to sam &Sabrina Koch. I am 5 years old. I have a big brother named Garrett and a dog named Koda. I also am blessed with 12 cats. My grandparents are Tom & Linda Koch, and Steve & Peggy Henderson and the late SusanHenderson. My aunts & uncles are: Michelle & Andy Smith, Liz &Bryanwalker, the late Jeremy Henderson and Nick Koch. I also have an aunt Mandy Ward Koch. I have many cousins & friends and family that are all very special to me.

Who would have known that on 5/31/2013 I would be diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and it would change my life forever. I was sent directly toMercyMedicalCenterwhere they admitted me directly and diagnosed me. I can still eat the things that I want to, but now have to have insulin for all the things that have carbs in them and have to watch how much of the bad things that I have. I have a lot of important people in my life, such as Denise & Jeremiah Mesch(daycare provider), Brendan Mesch otherwise known as my school bus buddy, Robb, Amy & Taylor Blanchard who have been my support through this, Mike Schrock & Emily Hoover(along with Ava Hoover) with JDRF who have been great friends, support & very resourceful. Not to mention the school staff, all of my friends and family who have been behind me through this whole life change.  We are walking to raise money to help find a cure for diabetes on 5/10/2014. Please join us and help to raise money to help children/adults like me!

    Thank you for your support!
