Hi there, my name is Annika Stillwagon and I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes back on December 12, 2011. A lot of things have changed for me over the past year. I am so grateful for the insulin pump I wear constantly that helps to keep my blood sugar under control without having to take countless shots daily. Although I look forward to the day that I will not have to wear any device on my body and can live my life without the constant thought of my blood sugar levels. 

The Eastern Iowa JDRF annually raises more than $1,000,000 each year to directly fund the quest for a cure for this common disease.
