Welcome to the Team D JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes Team Page! Team D....for Delaney, for Diabetes and for a Dream to find a cure!  

On February 21, 2011 our daughter, Delaney, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 7 years old.  Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disease in which the pancreas stops producing insulin, a hormone that enables people to get energy from food. It can strike at any age and lasts a lifetime.

We are taking the steps to help achieve JDRF's mission: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.  The money our JDRF Walk Team raises will go directly to support this life-changing research.

The JDRF Walk is a fantastic way to make a difference in the millions of lives of people affected by type 1 diabetes.  We are asking for your support. Now more than ever, EACH of us can make a real difference in the lives of people with type 1 diabetes.
