The JDRF WALK TO CURE DIABETES is quickly approaching - February 16th!  This is a great opportunity to support an amazing organization that one day will find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.  JDRF is an organization that will help find a cure for my son and my family.

Juvenile Diabetes, Type 1 Diabetes, T1D -- a disease that no one asked for, that was NOT caused by eating too many sweets, NOT caused by being too lazy -- a disease that happened because our own body attacked our pancreas and shut it down, no longer producing insulin.  Insulin enables our bodies to convert food into energy.  Insulin enables us to live.

Many times I have heard, "There are worse things." Maybe for an adult, but for a child?  A chronic, 24-hour-a-day disease encompassing our child's world -- whether it be TID, Celiac, or any disease that affects your child.  My son cries and gets angry because TID controls his life, he has to stay home, nauseated and ill, because his infusion site didn't deliver the insulin as expected, his fingers sore from multiple poking each day.  Some days it is just too much for your child to handle.  He just wants to be normal.

As little or as much as you can donate to JDRF is greatly appreciated.  Christian, my dad, my sister, and I appreciate your generosity.  There WILL BE A CURE!
