Join me in the fight to create a world without type 1 diabetes!

Welcome to my JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes personal fundraising page!

Cole was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes in September 2013 at the age of 8 years old. This was the day that his world changed forever. Since then, our family has had hours of education and there is so much more we need to learn!  We are so proud of all of Cole’s attitude and commitment to being healthy. Cole has to prick his finger to check his blood sugar levels about 8 times per day. He is also taking insulin shots 4 times per day and hoping that he will soon graduate to a pump.  He has had to learn which kinds of foods he can eat when his levels are high and when his levels are low. There many times that he has had to cope with challenges like when he is hungry and his levels are too high or too low and he can only have certain foods.  As parents, it is so hard to see his disappointment. It is heartbreaking at times!  But, true to his character, Cole is a “Warrior” and just battles through those tough times. As his parents, we cannot take this disease away from him.  But, one thing we can do, is raise money to find a cure for Cole and all the people who are battling T1D.  We will be his “Warriors” to help researchers find new ways to manage T1D or find a cure!!!

JDRF is working every day to change that. And, as the largest nongovernmental funder of T1D research, every dollar JDRF directs toward its research plan comes from donors like you.

Please support my commitment and donate to my Walk fundraising efforts today. Your gift will make a difference for millions of people affected by this devastating, life-threatening disease.

Thank you for your support!
