Our niece/cousin, Sabrina Fields, is a "glitzy 8 year old" with diabetes and our family will be participating in "Walk for a Cure" and  raising monies for JDRF to help find a CURE for her and children who live daily with this disease!

Sabrina has enjoyed going to Camp Hertko were she has met friends like her who are learning to LIVE with diabetes every day. This kids will poke their fingers 9 times or more daily to test their sugar levels. Some are "lucky" enough to be wearing an artificial pancreas (insulin pump) around their tiny waist like Sabrina attached to their jeans, skirt, or frilly dance tutu! While others will poke themselves another 3-6 times for insulin shots.
