Welcome and thank you for visiting our JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes 'Team Jack' page! In an effort to raise funds for continued Diabetes research, we are walking as a family at the Treasure Valley 5K Walk here in Boise on May 3, 2014. Since Jack's diagnosis 6-months ago, we've begun a life-long journey as a family. We are all determined to help Jack and other's manage this life-changing disease until a cure is discovered. We invite you to join our cause by either walking with us on May 3rd and/or making a contribution to our Team in Jack's honor. Thank you in advance for your support - we love you all!
We're helping JDRF create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D) where no one has to fear developing this serious autoimmune disease. By joining our Walk to Cure Diabetes team and/or making a donation to JDRF, you can be part of the effort to improve the lives of millions of people affected by T1D.
In T1D, a person's pancreas stops producing insulin, which is essential to the body’s ability to get energy from food. It strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet or lifestyle. Managing T1D requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on insulin. With T1D there are no days off, and there is no cure.
JDRF is the only global organization with a strategic research plan to fight T1D. Every donation, big or small, from donors like you, allows JDRF to fund the critical research needed to find a cure.
Will you accept the challenge to make a difference in your community by joining us? Just click “Join This Team” to Walk With Us on May 3rd and promote Awareness for Type 1 Diabetes! You may also click “Donate to This Team” to make a donation if desired.
Thank you for your support! May God Bless you abundantly with Love and Health .... The Mullin Family
