As I celebrate my daughter, Briana's 16th birthday with joy, there is also a sadness in my heart that my cousin Dawn will never get to celebrate Jordan's 16th Birthday with her. As I watch Briana go to high school, enjoy homecomings, sports and boys, it again saddens my heart that Jordan was taken from us so young!
It's been over 3 years, but seems still like yesterday! There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think either about Jordan or her family. Some of us take for granted what tasks God gives us each day. We don't experience life sometimes as we should. NEVER take your children or family for that matter for granted. Forgive, Forget, and love each day as we should.
On October 14th I will be walking in the Juvenille Diabetes walk for the third year in a row. It's a way for our family to grieve together a very tragic loss in our family. It has also been a way for us to bond again and reunite as a whole family unit. My 96 year old gram still comes out to show her love and support.
Please find it in your hearts and your wallets to donate to this amazing walk. We need to find a cure for this horrible disease and save families from having to go through what my cousin, Dawn and her family and us have been through.
Jordan, there is not a day that goes by that you are not thought about and loved. May God Bless you and your family as we embark upon our fourth year without you!
Love you forever!
